Top Summer Essential Oils
Summertime is full of fun and adventure, but don't leave home without a few #essentials that can help keep the calm and fun going smoothly.

Essential #1:
DigestZen (Digestive Blend)
You don't want to be without this amazing blend, especially if you're taking a road trip! When you start to feel that queazy sensation, rub a drop over your belly and cup your hands over your mouth & nose. It's also perfect when you're overeating at the next barbecue.
Essential #2:
Lavender Essential Oil
I always make sure to keep Lavender on-hand especially if I'm going to be outdoors. If I get too much sun, Lavender is very soothing and renewing to the skin. If those darn pollens get the best of me, Lavender again calms those allergies down.
Essential #3:
Peppermint Essential Oil
Summertime is HOT! Especially if you're like me and you live in Arizona. We are always looking for ways to cool down and Peppermint is THE BEST!!! A few drops in a spray bottle with water, shake and mist. Keeps us cool all summer long. Or just place a drop on the back of your neck to cool down. Plus Peppermint is the perfect oil to use when you need a little bit of an energy "pick me up".
Essential #4:
TerraShield (Outdoor Blend)
Beautiful weather and sunshine requires us to enjoy it. Don't let those pesky bugs keep you from enjoying the outdoors. And now I love to be able to use essential oils, especially TerraShield blend to keep those critters away. This is an amazing repellent without the use of harsh chemicals like DEET. Safe and natural and bug free!
Essential #5:
Melaleuca (Tea Tree) Essential Oil
I don't know about you, but my kids are fish! Especially my youngest, he can swim all day long. This usually leads to Swimmer's Ear. Melaleuca is the perfect oil to help with that discomfort. I place a couple of drops on a cotton ball and place in his ear. This helps to drain the water and soothe the ear. (Safety: do not put essential oils directly inside the ear) Melaleuca is also my go-to oil for the inevitable owies that will occur. It's perfect to clean up those wounds and naturally disinfect.
Essential #6:
Lemon Essential Oil
Do you just love the smell of fresh lemons?! It's my absolute favorite scent! Lemon essential oil smells just as wonderful! This is a great oil to have on-hand for to help with the excess of chlorine your body is absorbing. I put a couple of drops in my drinking water as a natural detoxification, without the acidity. Plus it's my oil I use to clean the house. Just put a few drops in a spray bottle with water and a little bit of vinegar and you have an all-purpose cleanser.
Essential #7:
Wild Orange Essential Oil
Another citrus oil I love to use is Wild Orange. It's a great oil to use to clean those fresh fruits and veggies you just picked. (Lemon works great for this too.) I also love to add it with Peppermint to help wake me up and focus on the tasks I need to complete.
